Women’s History Month: Weaving the Stories of Women’s Lives
On Friday, March 20, Women Veterans ROCK! will join Independence Blue Cross for its Women’s History Month event taking place in IBX’s Philadelphia offices located at 1901 Market Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
“Women Veterans ROCK! was the first organization that I came across where the mission was to support women veterans, in not just the traditional ways, but by speaking their language and providing gender-specific programs that empower women vets,” said Mattie B. Johnson, Senior Business Analyst at Independence Blue Cross. “I even told my daughter to get involved because it’s something that I wish I had when I was in the early stages of my military career.”
This event is free and open to the public, but you must register in advance to gain admittance. The event will start at 12 p.m. and end at 2 p.m.
Seating for this event is limited, so women veterans, military spouses, and girls in military families interested in attending the event are encouraged to contact Women Veterans ROCK! by March 16 to express an interest.
Celebrate Women’s History Month and learn about veterans service organizations and groups like I-Vets, Women of Independence, and Women Veterans ROCK! during this exciting event!
